Fire damper installation
Where ductwork passes through fire-rated construction with no damper at all, the compartment line is open. We install certified dampers into new and existing ductwork, and the access panels that make them maintainable.
Unprotected penetrations
Missing dampers are more common than most building owners expect. Ductwork gets rerouted during a fit-out, a wall is built after the services went in, or an opening is cut for a new run and nobody returns to protect it.
A survey identifies these penetrations alongside the existing assets. Each one is measured, the construction and its fire resistance period established, and a certified damper specified to suit.
Installation follows the manufacturer's instructions and BESA DW/145, including the correct fixings, the retaining angles, the builders work around the opening and the fire-rated making good of the penetration itself.

Access panels, fitted at the same time
A damper that cannot be reached cannot be maintained, and an installation that does not allow for future access has only postponed the problem.
We fit correctly sized fire-rated access panels to ductwork, ceilings and walls as part of the installation, positioned so an engineer can actually reach the mechanism and observe the blades closing. Every new asset is tested, photographed and added to your register.
